Proverbs 23:12 challenges, “Apply your heart unto instruction and your ears to the words of knowledge.” If you believe you can achieve great things or have hopes that your life will be a success, then it goes without saying, you must apply yourself to growing in knowledge. Many fantasize of lofty endeavors but fail because they do not put forth the effort to growing themselves. Remember, there are those who dream of success and then there are those who wake up and work hard at it.

If you’re really not a reader, as I too once wasn’t, you have to practice at it to become better at it. If you develop a habit of reading something every day, even something small, you will eventually start to enjoy it. Not only that, but your thinking will sharpen, your vocabulary will increase, and you will become a more interesting person all around. I urge you today to become a reader. Develop a daily habit. Work up an appetite for knowledge. It is by far one of the most rewarding investments you’ll ever make.

Proverbs 24:3-4
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Proverbs 2:3-5
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
