Following the earthquake that massively devastated the island of Haiti on January 12, 2010, my heart was grieved for the Haitian people…. Particularly, the homeless children. Even prior to this quake there already existed a great need in Haiti to house the thousands of homeless children, but that need has become even more dire and urgent. Today, there are nearly a half a million orphans in Haiti, an alarming number considering that the size of the country is only 10,000 square miles.
On Sunday, October 16, Team Haiti’s Kids will be running a half-marathon in Columbus, Ohio, for the cause of these children. They need a family, food, protection, and an opportunity for an education. Simply put, they need hope. And I believe, together, we can all help. One way to help is by offering a donation to this cause. By doing so, you will be empowering Haiti’s Kids to be your hands and feet to these children. If you are unable to give monetarily, I simply ask for your prayers for Haiti and your words of encouragement to Team Haiti’s Kids. Each affirmation helps to keep the focus and the drive going, and as long as we are moving forward, we will make a difference in Haiti.
Thank you and God bless!
