Pastor Dan Deaton, from The Branch Community Church in Parma, Ohio, traveled to Haiti immediately following the devastating earthquake that hit there on January 12, 2010. 42 years ago, he established a church in the village of Vignier, Haiti, and has been coming to the island ever since. While in Haiti, he assessed the damages to a school in Vignier that serves 400-500 Haiti children. This school was destroyed in the earthquake and will need to be rebuilt. There is also a need for a number of orphanages to be built in the village. Through Help Haiti Heal, Pastor Deaton will be working to raise funds and coordinate the rebuilding project for the school, as well as the formation of the orphanage.
